Residential EV Charging Rebates
LPEA is offering two tiers of rebates for the installation of home electric vehicle charging stations. An Income Qualified (IQ) and a standard tier.
Income qualification is done by applying for the HEAR program (links on our website) and supplying the approval email while applying for the rebate.

- The IQ tier is: 100% of Level 2 Charger cost and installation (pre-tax) up to $500.
- The standard tier is: 50% of Level 2 Charger cost and installation (pre-tax) up to $250.
- DIY installation costs no longer qualify for rebate.
- Charger must be scheduled to avoid LPEA’s peak hours, proof of schedule required.
- Replacement EV chargers can qualify for a rebate for equipment costs, but not installation. Counts toward 2 EV charger rebate lifetime maximum per member.
- Submit applications within 90 days of completed installation or certificate of occupancy (new construction).
- Max two rebates per member account, only if member has two EVs/PHEVs.
- Installations must take place in LPEA’s service territory.
